Hello Everyone!!
This week we have great specials which include at least two of our signature items. We have our Famous
Ground Chuck, which MANY people come in for because they're "tired of the stuff they get in the other stores" and so they come to our store and get the quality stuff and load the freezer up. Along with the Fresh Ground Chuck, we have our Jacobs own Natural Casing Wieners for just $5.49lb this week. They snap when you bite into them and they've been made the same way for the past 69 years and people e-mail me all the time from out of state and request that we ship them some because they have a taste for them that they can remember when they lived in the area. (Unfortunately, we can't ship them) Along with the Ground Chuck and Wieners, we have our Smoked Polish, Braunschweiger, and our Brats of the Week (Chili-Cheese and French Onion). We also have our Extra Meaty Baby Back Ribs which are great seasoned with our Newt's Original Pig Rub, baked in the oven for about an hour at 450 degrees and finished off on the grill for about 20-30 minutes with your favorite sauce put on the last 10 minutes. We also have Fresh Wild Copper River Coho Salmon coming in Thursday afternoon...which a LOT of people look forward to.
I was waiting at a customer services station at Sears when a woman in front of me was returning a disposable grill. When asked why she was returning the grill, she replied, "There was no meat in in it."
The shop assistant patiently explained that the disposable grill was simply to cook the meat on and it did not include any food. Whereupon, the customer looked very embarrassed indeed.
The assistant checked the receipt and asked: "There are 3 barbeques on here, are you returning the other two as well?"
"I can't," said the woman, "They are at home in the freezer."
