Happy Wednesday, Everyone!
People keep telling me about some magnificent bird of prey that I should keep an eye out for this weekend. They're calling it The Superb Owl. This seemed odd to me, so it rolled around my head for a day or three.
Then I realized they're talking about The Super Bowl! That's this Sunday (as if you didn't know). And while it's a shame the Packers won't be involved, the football itself should be watch-worthy (along with the commercials)!
To help the game watching be the best it can be, we've got some Superb Specials this week, including Mouth-Watering Kansas City Strips, Shaved Philly Cheese Meat, Kansas City BBQ Pork Ribs, Jacobs Own Summer Sausage (Plain or Garlic), Jacobs Own Ring Liver Sausage, Pre-Cooked Ready-for-the-Game Meatballs, Jumbo Bone-In Chicken Wings, and a large variety of Jacobs Own Dips! Game Day at its best with a little help from Jacobs!
Will the Chiefs pull-off a 3-peat this Sunday or will the Eagles swoop in and take the trophy? For no particular reason, I'm guessing the Eagles will win. But you know what they say... it's difficult to make predictions, especially about the future!
Stay warm, stay safe, enjoy the game, and stop by the store if you have a chance. The heat's on and the smiles are bright!
Weekly specials are valid today, Wednesday, February 5th, through Saturday, February 8th... while supplies last.
Butcher Shop Television will be broadcasting LIVE from "smack dab in the middle" of Jacobs Meat Market today, Wednesday, at 10:30am. You can watch the live broadcast on our YouTube Channel. If you can't make the live broadcast, no worries - the recorded video will be available via YouTube and shared on Facebook. You'll not miss a moment of the merriment!
Tune in this week for a re-cap of the weekly specials, banter, shenanigans, tales of glory, and to participate in our weekly contest!
At last year's Super Bowl, the man in front of me was sitting next to an empty seat.
I asked him how that was possible and he explained that he purchased the tickets several months in advance and in the interim, his wife had passed away.
I gave my condolences but also asked why none of his family members took the ticket.
"Because," he said, "they're all at the funeral."
